T ../290
Circular, 25 mm
Colour: black
290 öre rate period 3.2.1986-1.2.1987 and 5.2.1987-31.1.1988
Postal historian Lars Lundewall visited several post offices to get print of the different handstamps they were using. At Stockholm Utr Brev office 7.10.1986 he got the prints of the due handstamps illustrated here. So far no postal items have been registered with these due handstamps.

Most typical uses:
T 40/290 Double letter rate paid at the old double letter rate
T 60/290 Air mail postcard outside Europe paid at European rate
T 80/290 Foreign letter paid at inland letter rate
T 100/290 Forth rate letter paid at old forth letter rate
T 120/290 Air mail letter outside Europe paid at old surface postcard rate
T 140/290 Double rate printed matter paid at single rate
T 160/290 Triple rate printed matter paid at double rate
T 180/290 Double rate paid at domestic double normal letter rate
T 200/290 Fifth letter rate paid at old fifth letter rate.
As many of these "typical uses" seems quite strange it is more probable that handstamps were ordered just for every 20 öre from 40 to 200.
